Enough bickering guys! I am interested in the 22 foot leader. BFW, can you tell us more about that. I can see that a 22 foot leader would be very much more stealthy than a 6 or 8 foot leader, but I had just never heard of one that long, not that I have that much experience. How do you cast one that ...

Re: North Carolina Fishing

I am lucky enough to have some vacation rental cabins up in the mountains of North Carolina. Where in NC? We have a cabin in Western NC 35 miles NE of Asheville. http://s154.photobucket.com/albums/s250/philngruvy/th_cabinfrombigcreek.jpg This is the view from our front porch. There are Brook Trout ...

It is an old wive's tale based on the fact that bananas float and when you found them floating on the water, it indicated a ship wreck of one of the many banana boats bringing bananas to the US from South and Central America.

We need more people in the world like this who, unselfishly, go out of their way for the service of others! Bravo!

redfishn'ale, you are one awesome person. You always post great reports and then you come along and post a map with hotspots on it!!! Most of the people on here won't even tell the general locations they fish in fear someone might steal "their" hole. You rock!!!!!!!!

Any idea what the cost of the class is if you are not buying a camera?

I wonder how much floating grass you would snag with the hook on that paddle. Just another gimmick in my opinion.

Thanks for the link. That is a nice site. I wonder why the times are different by almost an hour compared to the times on the solunar site on Capmel.com which is also very close to the times reported on my Garmin GPS?

Great! Now , how do you make the loop in the end of the leader? I am not talking about the premade leaders which already have a loop.

5 wraps on 30 lb. mono with 7 to 9 wraps on 10 lb. PP. If I am feeling really conscientious about it, I will then put a drop of CA on the knot. I have noticed that the wraps on the mono will come undone after many casts through the rod tip guide. The CA helps with that.
