John I think this definitely has been part of the problem. I stayed away from it in my original post, but I have heard this from a number of people I have discussed this with face to face.John wrote: People move on, people get tired of the cliques

Re: Something a bit different..."surf's up"
Saw and heard this once at Cockroach. The sand bar ate the wave when it got there. I also had an encounter with a strange wave while Taron fishing. I was sitting maybe a 1/4 off the beach when I noticed this line moving my way pretty far out towards the horizon. The water was pretty flat where I was...

12/7 West Side of Sarasota Bay
Was overcast and a little windy this morning, but I had a plan to try and find some big trout on the low tide. Didn't find any really big ones, but did find lots of nice slot size fish. Didn't really keep count, but probably caught somewhere between 15 and 20 trout. The biggest was right at 20 and o...

Paddle-in sounds good to me. Bridge also works.
I have do admit I have not had great fishing days lately, but I just decided to try and post something anyways. Remember they are fishing reports, good or bad, not just bragging.

What the Hell Is Going On Here or Actually Not Going On
Paddle-Fishing friends, what is going on with this forum? Post activity has dwindled to a trickle, well actually just a slow drip. In the past 30 days there have been just 8 reports on the Florida - West Cost report section. I wrote 3, Rik wrote 3 and jbdba01 wrote 2. On the General Paddle Fishing p...

I would like to report that I am very pleased that the Windfinder predictions for the past few days have been wrong. I am also pleased to tell you that you can sleep in, because based on my recent experience nothing is happening out there until the sun is up in the sky. I launched a little before su...

Re: 11-30 An Interesting Day On Buttonwood Bay
In the past when I have seen them throwing fish it was always an adult teaching a young dolphin to catch fish. They would throw a mullet and then the young one would go get it. I have seen this many times. Not always sure if the fish being thrown is being thrown by mouth or actually smacked with tai...

11-30 An Interesting Day On Buttonwood Bay
Had a very interesting time fishing this morning. The quick summary of the fishing part was a couple of trout over 20 inches and the biggest blue fish I have ever caught. I estimate the blue at about 8 lbs. The blue was lots of fun as it just crushed my topwater lure and gave a great fight. The came...

Re: Good Deal On Life Proof Cell Phone Cases
I had never heard of that phone before. Looks like a good piece. Unfortunately I am pretty hooked on the Apple technology. We have a couple iPhones and iPads in the family and life is just simpler with the same technology across them all.

Go Pro Advice
I have been thinking of asking Santa for a GoPro Hero camera. Nothing fancy, just the basic camera. My main reason for wanting one is for tarpon fishing. My Kodak PlaySport that I have been using finally succumbed to the saltwater environment. Not sure how much I will really use it other than that. ...

Re: Polar Bear tubes
That is kind of a high tech approach to what I have been doing for awhile now. I keep a couple plastic water bottles in my freezer. I then throw them into my Polar Bear soft side cooler. Doesn't keep things as cold at ice, but not bad. After the fishing trip I just put the bottles back in the freeze...
