Prayers out to his family. one thing they didn't mention in the article - the weather was terrible that day. The wind was too much for any type of fishing especially for a kayak. I fish in that area often and I know the waters pretty well and you don't want to be out there in bad weather. Let this r...

I had the '06 Outback SUV and loved it. It had many features that I miss on my Revolution. Still, I sold it and bought the Revolution. I am still learning its quirks and features. It is much faster, quieter, and sits comfortably. If I had it do over, I would have bought the Revolution sooner.. Does...

My Hobie is a sand color. I agree with previous posts on not buying dark color boats. The down side of lighter colors is the glare. Nothing that a good pair of sunglasses wouldn't fix.

My sister and I was paddling a local creek last weekend and a loud "thunk" hit her boat. We thought she ran into a log when all of a sudden a 5-6 foot water moccasin appeared on the other side of her boat.

I've never seen her pearly whites like that!!

I purchased the Surf to Summit "The Drifter" seat when I went down to the Rainbow River. I forgot mine at home (3 hours away) so I went to the local outfitter and purchased it for $150. It didn't fit my boat that well but, the seat itself is very comfortable. BTW - I'm selling it if anyone...

I mounted a battery operated (Scotty I think) portable light to an 8' section of PVC that I use double as a stake out pole. I put this inside of a larger section of PVC in my crate. Works great.

I also keep a flashlight and strobe light just in case.

I've had the Outback S.U.V. for about 4 months now and I'm satisfied with it. The Revo is faster and longer but, I'm told that the initial stability is not as stable as the S.U.V. Also, I've been told that the Revo tracks better.

That's one great thing about this forum...the knowledge and willingness to help for those who ACTUALY use kayaks. Not the snot nose 17-year-old who's never learned how to swim!!

Hey Terry, nice article!
