Is this your first Mirage?
I'm curious about the manuverability. I like the rudder location and I imagine it helps.

I love mine!
Very manuverable.
It has drawbacks. One is skinny water, less than say six inches. I simply remove the drive and paddle in those situations. Its a fairly heavy boat, rooftop transport solo can be cumbersome.

Its a blast to sail!

Without having tried the Sidekick, I imagine I would have the same trouble with the stance. The hatch cover is small and, after a while, standing becomes uncomfortable.
With the added stability of the pontoons I could see some kind of platform one could place on the gunwals. Hmm.
