Re: Surprised I haven't seen much mention of Diablo Paddlesp
I owned one for a while. It is definitely the most stable kayak. Durable and light. However I found it to be a bear to paddle long distances and and alot of hull slap. If you float rivers or small lakes, you'd be hard pressed to find a better kayak.

Couple hours on a new lake
Finally got a chance to get out with a good buddy Saturday AM. We only had a few hours but the fish were hungry. He was messing around with a wacky rig while he was soaking crickets for a bluegill fish fry. I had a handful of small bass and a decent 2-3 lbr when I came back to check on him. He's onl...

Re: ??? Service at Tackle Shack ???
My Tackle Shack experience: I was fishing a tournament at Ft Desoto a few weeks ago and about 2 hours in my Rudder stopped working. The wind was blowing hard and it was impossible to fish. I loaded up the kayak and looked up the address to Tackle Shack. They had me repaired and out the door in 15 mi...

Re: Finally slimed up the Pro Angler.
Nice fish! I remember seeing you paddle up to the demo last month at Gandy in your other boat. How you liking the Hobie? Any issues with the mirage drive in the skinnier areas? You can spread the peddles all the way apart and just make short pumps and move in the skinniest of water. I also fish nas...

Finally slimed up the Pro Angler.
My first 2 trips out in the Pro Angler have been skunks! But my fishing partner Dave and I got out to fish together this morning for what seems like the first time in forever. Before the sun was up Dave had hooked up with a 40-50in Tarpon on his inshore gear. It was still dark out and before I could...

Re: 7/23 Demo Day Photos
Thanks to everyone who helped put this on. I changed my bass fishing plans to hit the flats in the morning before paddling back to check out the Demo. Been wanting to take the diablo out for a spin since the first time I saw it and I was not disappointed.. what a cool kayak. Couple guys browsing the...

I use all of my Curados(200d7, 200e7, and 300dsv) in the salt. Never had a problem with them.

As someone who is very new to saltwater fishing, I would like to thank all those who did these write-ups. I learned at least a little something from each one. Thanks again.

Re: Polk County bassin (pics and video)
A nice report and photos. I bass fish here in southwest Florida and some in Miami when I get over there. I mostly use spinning gear here as I mostly bank fish and it is hard to get a clean backcast with the brushy banks. What fly did your partner use? Floating or sinking line? I have a selection of...
