Re: Breaking in SUP - 5/23 - 24
Lately I have been considering trading in the kayak for a SUP. What's the total cost for your board, paddle, and rigging? If you don't mind telling me. I want to know what kind of investment I will be looking at.

Re: Where are the fish?
I finally got back on the water last night after a 2 week hiatus. I did not have any luck on the flats with my artificials, but did fine at the docks with them.. Keep on truckin Nemo - they will come.

The great cold front of April 15'
Had one of the best Snookin nights I have had in a while on the eve of the season's end. Typical start, launched at 6:30(ish) - It was rough as hell!! The wind was whipping and the seas were at least 2'-3', the tide was at it's lowest point, and it was very low. I started off wading in what was norm...

Monday Night Snook Bite
Another dock light tour through Sarasota Bay, started just before sunset. The tide was incoming till just after sunset, the skies were clear; and according to the interwebs it was not a good day for fishing. But being the “Snook Slayer” I am; I decided to challenge that forecast. Instead of working ...

Snook love the mirrodine; but what color?
Went out last night again. This time I launched from a whole new spot, near the North Bridge for Siesta Key. I started about an hour before sunset, the tide was low and was incoming all night. The moon was almost full, a bit windy, but eventually calmed down and became glass. The flats and mangroves...

Snook are in.
Launched yesterday evening at 6:30pm on the east side of SRQ Bay. The tide was incoming, and had just changed a little over an hour ago, the current was steadily moving south. We fished the oyster/grass flats at sunset, trying many different lure types. We waded up and down the oyster bar casting to...

Re: Sarasota Bay
I would check out Buttonwood its toward the northwest side of the bay. On a good day you will get into some Trout and Snook. There are a lot of ladies, jack, and bluefish there as well. Good luck

Winter Snook Hunt on Fire
Last night I did a solo launch out in SRQ Bay, headed towards the green lights of the canals. I put in at 10:00pm (I typically don't start this late), but I was using my new Hobie kayak, so I had to see how she floats. As I turned into the canals, all I could hear was plussh!! plusssh!! of snooks go...
