Thanks...I like throwing those spoons on the skinny grass flats. Had a monster red blow one up last weekend but he came unbuttoned after two runs. I guess he managed to scrape it off on the bottom, dunno.

Excellent report!

How were you retrieving the spoon? Quick? Slow flutter?

What colors do you prefer on the Aquadream?

Re: Surprised I haven't seen much mention of Diablo Paddlesp

Yeah...its not speedy. A Hobie PA is going to be a better option in the ICW or around Desoto, but the Diablo really shines in the backwaters or shallow / skinny flats.

Just surprised I don't see more of them around here, with all the mangroves and creeks to explore.

About 60 lbs. Fits in the back of a pickup easily, especially with a cheap bed extender from Harbor Freight.

Very stable and easy to stand on for sight casting, working topwaters, etc.

New to the board...

Bumped into Vizzi in one of the upper bay backwaters. Heard about your recent Ft Desoto tourney and found your board.

I paddle a green Diablo Paddlesports Adios. Plan for 2013 is to fish some kayak tournaments as I learn more. Will keep an eye on your series.

Tight lines!

The Adios is the perfect kayak design for the upper bay backwaters. Anyone else here paddle one? https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-AQJadYNB68Y/UNyuzRlkCDI/AAAAAAAABEA/u9PqVg88wWk/s1280/100_0008.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-oNInGRgNSYY/UOrxH5gKDrI/AAAAAAAABFM/k6wpT2hAg6M/s1440/photo%25201....
