#3 Tell me that's not what I think it is... #4 I agree, you have some dirt on your sensor. No big deal, it can easily be cleaned by yourself with a cleaning kit, or take it in. You will always have dirt somewhere, don't sweat it unless it really causes image problems. Setting your aperture to ...

Nice shots. 5, 6 & 10 are my favorite.
Just a comment, the birds facing you or at a diagonal look better than the birds flying away from you.
#10 could benefit from a shallower depth of field to cut out some of the background clutter and crop it a bit. The color is very good.

The title had me wondering...
Just imagine the redneck hack job you can do on your kayak with a couple of rolls of duct tape and PVC pipe. :D

Just a comment, the focal length of the lens can never change, 300mm is 300mmm. It is the angle of view that changes if you compare DX and FX cameras.

Let sleeping logs lie...

I was out on ML on Saturday morning, drifting along peacefully when out of the corner of my eye I notice a submerged log about 2ft from my bow. I looked at the log and noticed it had nostrils... uh-oh too late to do anything. I could clearly see the gator laying with its tail on the ground with just...

I may be from the 60s, but my eye sight is still 20/20  There was no alcohol, drugs/meds or 'shrums involved, I was stone cold sober at 6:00 am. There were 2 distinct luminescent spots located near the eyes, about the size of a quarter. What I have found so far is a reference to the Atlantic F...

Glowing fish

I was out early morning in Biscayne Bay and saw what I believe was a fish with two large glowing green spots. It was definitely fish shaped, not squid, dark in color and about 24". It moved fast and caught a 6" fish, then swam off and hovered around flashing it's lights. It was in about 3f...

NSB = New Smyrna Beach, duh. Sorry, I missed that.
Here is a public launch a bit south: 28°53'54.48"N 80°51'7.12"W
Head straight across the ICW and to the south, you get into some real skinny water.

Take 406/402 to Playalinda beach, you will find the Eddy Creek launch on the left. You can cruise up to the last parking lot and follow the footpath to a muddy launch. You could also go to Biolab road and pick any spot to launch, this puts you right on the water in minutes, and you do not have to pa...
