Nice video. Really liked that song. Yeah, it's a cool song. I thought it was Silver Mt Zion at first. The video is really cool. Check out the dudes web site. It's interesting. I think he's got his head a little up his own arse but it's cool non-the-less. Bearsfan, all is well in my corner of the wo...

As you can tell from the picture, the reel is actually wrapped on the tubing, just like a guide and finish is applied on top. Haven't mold any ergonomic grip, YET. Noles, that is what I was referring to with my previous comment. My concern was not Cork vs Carbon. It was "wrapped foot" vs ...

Noles, are you still making those carbon seats? How are they doing? Had any big fish on them? I've always wanted to try a rod with a really simple real seat but always worried that I'd have issues with trying to make sure I could hold the reel to the seat since it's not really mechanically fastened....

This one is a 9'0" 9wt sig V blank. I think I finished this one back in June 2008...did I say "finished?" Well, the sad truth is that it's not finished yet. I still have not done the decorative wrap above the winding check. lol http://img02.picoodle.com/img/img02/3/2/2/f_P1010031m_bda...

then move up the Threadmaster light. It's the best finish, IMHO. Sorry Noles but I have to disagree. Diamondite is top dog. I think Threadmaster light is a close second. The only advantage Threadmaster has is that the mix ratio is 1:1 instead of 1:2. Like most things though...it just boils down to ...

Casting, or spinning? For spinning on of the readily available seats is the aero seat. http://www.mudhole.com/Shop-Our-Catalog/Graphite/AERO-Comfort-Finish-Reel-Seat I have built a few rods using it. Once again, Japan has some stuff available over there that blows the socks off our supply. If you as...

He used a skeleton reel seat and recessed the front foot into the cork http://www.mudhole.com/Shop-Our-Catalog/Graphite/Skeleton-Graphite-Reel-Seat Who ever built those two rods did a really nice job. The winding checks on the second rod are very popular in Japan. There are a few companies that make...
