Also, with the dramatic increase in gas prices, I might be making fewer trips to the coast. So, I'm thinking freshwater will rule...

Here's a quick pic of a little rod I did. It's a 4pc, 8'-0" St C. SCII 4wt rod built with a Florida Gators theme. The logo is simply a temp. tattoo mounted directly to thread and epoxied.

Seriously though, I think I have to get a subscription to that mag. I'd love to see how it's done. However I do think Todd has a valid point. Carbon would be slippery. I have on of those texilem grips. Very slick.

I only use tru-oil on bamboo burl. On all other corks I use U-40.
