I wasted my time going down to Pass-A-Grill beach.

Drove all the way down there, unpacked my stuff & the stupid beach meters wouldn't take & money!! Tried 4 different ones & none of them worked! (Think it was a hint? )

Looked like only 3 other people out there, too.

Just got in & checked tomorrow's weather report. Winds 10-15 knots! Too much for a canoe.

Might just just be a good morning to try walking Pass-A-Grill beach.

That was exactly the thought that went through my head after the 2nd tug. :D It didn't move like anything I had caught before, yet it was stripping line fast!

I have the pic now & will add it to the original post. (Not the best shot, though.)

Looks like Shep is looking for some company in the same area. I'm going to hop over to his thread & see if he want to join us.

Shark On A Artificial.....

Believe it or not I caught a small shark on a D.O.A. Terroreyez. After quickly catching a half dozen or so dink trout on a paddle tail jig I spotted an old D.O.A. Terroreyez in the tackle box & thought I'd give it a try. Rigged it up & made several dozen more casts. About every 3rd c...

Gandy/Weedon Saturday Morn 8/18...

I'm thinking of putting in at Gandy & paddling down toward the Weedon area. Anyone else interested?

Hope to put in before sunrise at the east end of the St. Pete side. (I found out last weekend that the water is way, way too hot anywhere in the area of the power plant outflow.)

Wow! What a hot little number! Looks to be very well appointed & fast, too. (You figure it out.)

And I don't care what anyone says I want to read reports! :)

Have fun & be safe.

Re: What a crate idea!

After I lost my anchor and Uniden Voyager to a big wave on the beach,I decided to do something to prevent any more loses. Now my crate has a lid and can be straped down. The anchor I wiil have to remember to always tie to the kayak. For my anchor rope I use cheap nylon water ski tow rope because it...

So far, only in my dreams I'm sorry to say.

But it's on my list of things to do before I die, God willing.
