Don't diminish your odds of catching fish for the sake of what other people say or think. Well spoken! Catching is catching. Besides, fish smell nasty, too. I know your frustration & hope you have better success in the future. I've spent a lot of time there with similar results. If you w...

Very, very glad you to hear you were able to get out on the water. Good for FishingDL, too. I have a little insight into what you have been going through so I'm doubly glad to hear the news about the "monster". Tasting food again surely is good, too & hopefully will aid in your recover...

Who Taught You To Fish?

Before I signed up here the only one that showed me how to fish was my dad. (And he stunk at it.) I'm curious about how everyone else learned to catch fish. Did someone take you under their wing? Are you a self made fisherperson with hours and hours of solitary dedication? Did you spend the big buck...

I can loan you my rivet gun if you would like. You will have to get your own stainless rivets, though.

Otherwise see if Masthead has stainless hardware & take the part to them. They should be able to get you going with the right pieces

I've spent many hours trying to catch that big boy back in that cove. You're wasting your time.

I've decided it's a vegetarian from hanging around with all those mullet.

Wow!

Again, Wow!

What nice pictures of a beautiful place and a nice report. Looks like an idyllic spot for for just about any recreation.

I miss catching Pike (Northern, Musky & Walleye (my favorite)) back up in Wisconsin. Not that I caught many, but it was always a nice day on the water.

Re: CANT TAKE IT MUCH LONGER!!!!! (rant)

My gastank has just enough to get me to and from work till payday and I been completely broke since I got paid... I can name that tune in 1 note. I think I'm on the same budget, too. Only have enough gas in the truck for a few short trips. It'll be another week or 2 before I can put any more gas in...

I usually do very well on the trout using the 3" "Glow" DOA Shad tail on a 1/4 oz jighead. Color jig head doesn't seem to matter. When working the flats, if I'm targeting redfish, I'll switch to the rootbeer Shad tail with a chartreuse tail. The trout seem to hit that well also. The ...

I gotta be doing something wrong. I spend almost every weekend 'round about that area, any time from sun up 'til late in the afternoon, & I'm only getting an occasional trout (& sail cats) max 16". I'm using Mirrominnow's, Exude jigs & spoons. Anybody want to show me what I'm doing ...

Gandy on Sunday....

Went out a little later this morning to try fishing from Gandy up to the power plant. Got there about 10ish & left after 2. NWS said the wind was to be out of the west so I figured I'd tuck in along the lee side of the mangroves & see what I could scare up. Turned out the wind was more out o...
