"That sailtcat could have been a Florida start record! I believe the record is 8lbs Shocked I caught one close to 10lbs and never would've guessed I had landed such a 'trophy' lol." I'm not sure about a record , but we used to catch 15 & 20+ pounders regularly off the dock in Redington...

I've seen them go after released fish before, this one was aggressively charging to get the fish still on the hook. Not a good feeling when you're sitting 2 inches off the water. If I'd caught a catfish I'da given him that.

Dolphin attack

I was fishing next to the channel just west of the Bunces pass bridge yesterday. Caught a small trout and noticed a large grey shape follow it up to the yak. It was a dolphin and it tried to snagg my little trout, which I released from the other side of the yak. I caught several more and every time ...
