Not going to lock mine in place
I'm going to alter some what making it lock into the cup or pole holder. This way giving me the ability to deploy when I'm ready not causing any addition drag on my kayak. I will play around with it see how it works out.

Great day Fishing Bradenton 3/17/09
I worked most of the weekend so therefore had some well earned time off coming. Well what can I say....went fishing! Since Bradenton is reported "Void of all life" Reds were everywhere and no small trout to be found. This Red was my best for the day at 27" and the trout was 20". ...

Peddles should adjust.
Your girlfriend should be totally comfortable with her seat and peddles. My wife is only about 5’2”so they can be adjusted for just about anyone. My wife also pimped out her kayak using pink fishing line for the reel, matching colored life vest and anything pink.

What a Deal!!!
That was an awesome deal:!: The outdrive alone cost more than $400 bucks. I have the Hobie outback same color, so I know you will enjoy your new toy. It's not as fast as some of the others but very stable and handles well, loads of storage space. Best of luck with it.....

Where do you put all this Kayak equipment?
We have two kayaks so you could imagine it got old having all this crap lying around the garage. I purchased these simple bike racks from Lowe’s. Secured both about three feet apart. Put the paddles up, then hung a seat from each paddle. The wheels sit wedged against the wall. The peddle systems fit...

Two fishing poles provide plenty of action.
I keep just 2 poles with me at all times:
One Light Ugly Stick up front usually DOA or whatever lure fits the mood.
The other light Ugly Stick off to my left in the back using GULP or strickly bottom fishing.
