Using the idea from Bigfish, you really don't have to be that fancy. I ran a nylon cord with loops tied in it to hold the handles and hooked it to the clothes hooks in the rear. K1000 is perfect camera for the class. You will be required to set exposures in " manual" which is just what that camera does easily. Just be sure the meter works. It takes a KS 76 battery. Looking through the viewfinder, make sure the needle on the right moves when you change the shutter ...
