Re: OK, I've been inspired to start another swap!!!
Had I not been so tardy in getting mine sent after they were finished I'm sure Gil would have sent these out long ago.
I humbly beg foregiveness.

Re: Favorite music while fly tying?
No favorites, I have a fairly "eclectic" mix on my I-Pod plugged into the stereo. Buffett, Styx, Beach Boys, Marley, Sting, Blackmoore's Knight, Belafonte, Dragonforce, Knightwish, Celtic Woman, Clancy Brothers, Bon Jovi, Little River Band, Loggins and Messina, Sia, etc, etc. Music mostly ...

Anyone have the address? Got two sets ready to go out in the mail. Thought I had it from one of the earlier swaps but couldn't find it.

Re: When I grow up....
I could do that .... if I put five of my casts ened to end  . Several years ago at one of the Bradenton Herald FIshing Colleges there was a demonstator (I think Pete Greenan) giving a lecture on saltwater fly fishing. During most of the presentation he would false cast over the audience with th...

Re: Possible Ban On Lead Sinker!
Frank, there certainly is a lot of methyl-ethyl-bads@&t out there that poses a more immediate threat. Lead tends to be a long term issue.Your buddy is right about the oleanders, poison ivy isn't good either. The county I live in technically doesn't allow trash burning, one of the main reasons be...

Re: Possible Ban On Lead Sinker!
I have to question just how much fishing lead ends up in the environment. Except for places like Boca Grande pass where they used fishing techniques that intentionally dropped lead (now outlawed), I'm guessing the vast majority of it ends up back with the angler. With the new superlines that everyo...

Re: Possible Ban On Lead Sinker!
Not to take "their" side but additional lead in the environment is not a good thing. I call BS on the assertion that "millions of birds" die each year from lead sinkers in the environment. Of course quite a few casualties end up on the dinner table due to direct injection of lead...
