Re: Leader attaching knot

Uni to Uni Holds over 95% of the line strength, I've heard. And it's a small enough knot to run through the guides if you use a longer leader. I've never broken off because of this knot, that's all the convincing I need!

Re: What's a Gator?

Only on the East Coast for me. Banana River to be exact. Came real close up in the Big Bend area with 28's and 29's. I usually catch the larger Trout when chasing schools of over slot Reds! :thumbright:

Re: What should i look for when selecting a paddle

First off, decide what length of paddle you are most comfortable. Then, try out a few at some local (on the water) kayak shops. The more you paddle and the more you chat with folks who paddle ALOT, the more you will lean towards an ALL carbon paddle. Every ounce you save in your workout, results in ...

Re: Do you know this rig?

Most of the time I've seen that rig it was tied with Tri-Swivels at each of the junctions. I do know that it would be beneficial to use a much smaller diameter line for the weight itself because of the fact it may get caught up in the structure on the bottom. A smaller weight line for the weight wou...

I have been putting in to that area from the small opening off Gandy for about 20 years or so and have had very good luck at times. But, as cold as this water is, try fishing in the deeper water anywhere from 4-6 feet with a loud topwater.ie; Super spook (small), Skitter Walk is also a phenominal pl...
