Re: Sabalo 2500 vs....

Star rods have a lifetime over the counter warranty. A hundred bucks. It will be my next spinner. Good choice Dave. I have had about 9 or 10 Star rods over the last 20 years. Never broke a rod, tip, or reel seat on any of them and you know how many fish I catch;) The heavy grouper and tarpon rods w...

Re: Kayak Fishing Canine Companion

I tried my Labrador in the kayak one time.
The trip only lasted 5 minutes but it was great entertainment for the people at the ramp.

Re: Logic Lures Plastix

My rods are hanging from the ceiling of my living room, was a bit surprised when I got home from work today. If that permeates the water like that ...and the fish like it.....even Skeeter could catch fish with them! Whatta you tying a lure on for, I know you haven't been fishing? I've been having p...

Re: Polar Bear Coolers Special

Well my second order was pretty disappointing. As previously posted I ordered the 12pk in Duck Blind Camo and was very pleased with it. I then ordered the 24 and the 48 in the same Duck Blind color and added another post about how well it keeps ice. Ten days later I get an email back saying that the...

Re: Having a bad day

After a quick internet search, I found we have a White Oak or Rat Snake in North Florida that is pretty common. This would be my guess looking at his size and the location he was in. Maybe this is why people fall out of deer stands? http://tallahasseemuseum.org/index.php?page=grey-rat-snake" on...

Re: Having a bad day

I couldn't tell Dave. It looked like it had been hanging for a couple of weeks and was pretty decomposed. The skin had lost color and the head was another foot or so inside the tree. I really have no idea what it could have been. I have lived here all my life and I've never seen a snake that size up...

Having a bad day

These are pictures of a oak tree limb that had fell in my camp up near Hawthorn. The timing of the 100 year old limb falling was not good for the six foot snake that was sleeping in the hollow of the limb at the time. http://i865.photobucket.com/albums/ab212/skeetergr/snake2_zpsc2c8770c.jpg http://i...

Re: Polar Bear Coolers Special

Got to try mine out while camping this week end. Stocked it with ice and a 12 pack of Bud Light around 4 PM on Friday and still had ice when I went to bed Saturday night.
Left Sunday at noon and the ice was melted but the water and two cans of beer was still cold.
I like it.
