Re: Polar Bear Coolers Special

I had split an order with Manning and picked up my 12PK cooler today.
After careful inspection I went ahead and ordered the 24 and 48PK in matching Duck Dynasty colors, to complete my heirloom set.
Good stuff mon'
Thanks Steve, thanks Rik.

Re: Sign in's and No Shows.

What do you say guys? Should we chip in to get Rik this alarm clock. You can hit it one time for snooze. After that it engages the wheels jumps off your nightstand and runs around the room with the alarm going off. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-EA8o0TrTszo/UkB-AiDGEII/AAAAAAAADbE/8BYMVGS0fAk/w...

Re: Watch your step..

I was wade fishing for bass along the edge of the cat tails in Lake Parish. Standing still and slowly working a rubber worm when I felt something bumping me on the stomach. I didn't pay any attention to it at first because I thought it was the bass I had I had tied on the stringer. Finally I looked ...

Re: Alaska fly fishing

Fuck the cost. Bacon wrapped poached eggs? Zackly right Dave, I would have been happy just hanging at the cabin, eating three squares a day and watching old Bill Dance shows. It was seriously good chow. John, I was fortunate to sign on at the last minute to fill a cancellation but the rates are lis...

Re: Health Warning!!! Please read. This is serious stuff

Now its 30 people infected in Florida this year, with 10 fatalities. http://www.foxnews.com/health/2013/10/11/31-in-florida-infected-by-bacteria-in-salt-water/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Seems most of the cases I have heard of in the past are inland bays and bayous duri...

Re: Alaska fly fishing

My fishing buddy Boss Hog and I met in Anchorage, and then flew three hours in a bush plane to the lodge. It was a clear day so we flew down the passes between the mountains over glaciers, mountain goats, and active volcanoes. We landed on the Wildman Lodge air strip around noon, unpacked our waders...

Re: Alaska fly fishing

It really was a blast Rik, and I’m very thankful I was able to do it. It was a last minute invitation and I spent a week thinking of all the reasons not to but then thought about never having this chance again.
I'll put together some details to post later.
Thanks guys.

Alaska fly fishing

Just got back from a bucket list trip to the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. Stayed with Butch and Kathy King at their Wildman Lake Lodge, on the Ocean River. http://www.wildmanlodge.com/Alaska-Fishing-Hunting-Lodge.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Fished for Silver Salmon, C...

Re: We lost a great guy today

It was a very thoughtful service and seeing the Patriot Guards paying their respects made it even more impressive. I sat there listing to Marks friends and relatives speak, and I thought of the times and places we had fished together. Double Branch, Safety Harbor, The Fort, Miguel, Cockroach, Manate...

Re: Mark M - Update

Tommy and I went by to see Mark yesterday afternoon. As others have said, its very sad to see an old friend in this condition. He is in and out now depending on the medication, but we were able to reminisce about some old fishing adventures and share a few smiles. We also got to meet Carla for the f...

Re: measuring tape

Just put it on the kayak today and I gotta give it a pretty good review. I should explain that I wasn't looking for a tape to use in tournaments, just something to measure the occasional trout or red for the table. I wasn't sure how well it was going to stick to my Tarpon Ride as the deck surface is...

measuring tape

I was looking for a adhesive backed measuring tape other than the ones you see in the tackle shops and sports stores. Those are a little hard to read with all the measurements added for species that I will probably never catch. Also they tend to fade pretty quickly and being white and an inch thick ...
