I think he shoulda emptied that garbage can before strapping it on to the kayak. Looks like the back glass of the truck got a littled spooged!

Re: Fair Warning
Yeah, I quit red cow meat and soda about 12 years ago just because of all the crap they put in them and I recently gave up alchohol just because. But I'm still a lover of a nice Maduro if ya got any you wanna part from!

Re: Anyone else have this problem?
Kneedeep had a great suggestion. I use Daiwa reels and I only have that problem with Fins Braid. Tried to go cheap but now I am back to sufix. Is that Suffix any good? I use SpiderWire XXX Super Mono which is a co-polymer Mono/Floro blend. I love the stuff and it's completely invisible in the water...

Re: Anyone else have this problem?
With braid you don't have to move the rod tip very much at all because the braid does not stretch at all. try a very slight motion and you'll probably find the lure moves even better while walking.

Re: Tethering my kayak.
When it comes down to it, the kayak is the best PFD you have out there. Even if it's completely full of water, (Hard to do with a SOT) it will Never sink. It's also a REALLY nice target for a Helicopter to see, so why chance getting seperated from it? Especially since the first aid kit, water, gps, ...

Re: Tethering my kayak.
I simply use a 20 foot length of inner core anchor trolley rope either 1/8th or 1/4 inch diameter with stainless carabiners on each end. One hooked to the bow handle and one hooked to my belt in the back. This gives you plenty of room to wade and pull the kayak and also cast without getting a hook ...

Re: First post and its a question
A rudder on a 160 is almost mandatory as it is hard to tun around in a 16' kayak. ditto Forgot about that. I have always owned 16 foot boats and never liked the rudder. I simply went to a 260 paddle where most folks use a 220 or 240. Being long waisted the extra length in the paddle gives me much m...

Thanks!
I love those negative low tides when sight fishing for tails!! And it's even more fun catching all those fish and not even getting your knees wet while wading. Let me put it this way, the only thing feeding on the true flats were wild hogs.
