Re: What the Hell Is Going On Here or Actually Not Going On
I haven't had anything to post. And in the past when I did, it didn't seem as if to many people were to interested. Nowadays I don't have the energy or ambition. I've been out 4 times since coming back from the Mayo, and haven't taken a single picture. Just don't have the ole spark like I used. A Pa...

Re: Heywood is back
It was great to finally get back on the water after a six month hiatus. I had my doubts about catching anything, due to the iffy weather, but it turned out to be action packed. Just 100 yds. from the launch I saw my first red, but as it turns out with many of these shallow cruising reds, it spooked ...

Thank You
I just want to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers. My stay at the Mayo Clinic has come to an end and I finally came home yesterday. Long story short, I had a mass on my left adrenal gland. This was producing to much Aldosterone, which in turn was causing my kidneys to dump all my potassium,...

Re: Bro hug for our buddy Bill
Hey, thanks guys. Its been a while since I've been on the water much less poked around here on the forum. My body and mind just hasn't been in the mood. So after seeing several doctors in Tampa and a couple of really scary episodes after what are considered pretty benign treatments, with the support...

Re: Kayak for Coop
Don't forget one additional sponsor "YouFit" health clubs, I know kinda weird but there are a few of us that could use a little help in the exercise realm..... Sorry about that John, Thanks again for your help. I did see the parking cops out there when I left. They got a white pathfinder ...

Kayak for Coop
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e75/howard00755/Kayak%20for%20Coop%20Tournament/CoopandMom2_zps921b9d17.jpg I think one of the wonderful things about the Paddle-Fishing community is that in times of need, we pull together to help out. Kayak for Coop was no exception. Despite falling on the same d...

Re: advantage of a 14' over 12' KAYAK?
So the 14' should track faster? Never been on A 14'. Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk Depends on the model. A 14' Malibu Stealth will not be as fast as a 14' Tarpon 140, which in turn will not be as fast as a Hurricane 14' Phoenix. It all depends on the hull make, how wide it is and the material use...

Re: Went out in search of reds today
Oh we had a shot at some, at least I did. We waited until there was enough light to move into this cove, and once in there I saw what I was looking for. A redfish with its back completely out of water. Just as I got ready to make a cast, BOOM another red about 3 feet away busted some bait and spooke...

The "Move".
Well another cold a foggy morning greeted us this past Sunday. With the time change my friend Greg aka BigFlyReel and I got on the water just a tad early and milled around waiting for the first glimpse of sun light before hitting the area we intended to fish. Instead we got socked in with fog, which...

Re: Rudder Question!!
I've rode the tide out at Chokoloskee from the inside all the way out to the flats and never paddled more than a couple of time, all by using my rudder.
I would again warn using a drag anchor or chute in any of our rivers. Too many snags to catch.
But hey, to each his own.
