Re: New Poon Pic

Shhhhhh. They are here. We don't need 100 people in kayaks floating along the beach now. Let's keep this between you and me. Got it? Good.

Besides, it is too cold. Let it warm up a bit. I like fishing without a shirt on. Can't do this yet without cutting glass with my nipples.

1. Drift chute.
2. Proper tackle.
3. Proper technique.
4. Remember to clip your drift chute you something.

Almost that time of year again.

Nice job. A fish on the fly is worth 100 on traditional tackle.

Re: FWC - weekend follies and a bit more...

As a whole, FWC is pretty useless. They should cut the department all together and start new. National Park Service is just about as useless. You should see some of the kids they have running boats around the Everglades. Good to see our tax dollars at work.

I've been using Okuma VS-40's There is your problem. I've been fishing braid for at least 6 years. I've used just about every brand of braid. Ever since I went to Suffix and Samurai, I can't remember the last time I got a knot. I use Daiwa and Shimano reels. That can't be an issue. I used Okuma VS ...

Re: Spot Connect

I don't think there is much need for a SPOT for the recreational kayak fisherman. A VHF radio is a far better option. If you plan on heading into the wilderness for a while, whether it is in a kayak, on foot, or any other means I would take one especially if cell phone reception is spotty or non-exi...

Re: Hobie Turbo Fin repair

No need to use Tear Aid. Just slide it through again. I like to spray a little McLube in the slot. It helps the bar go in easier.
