I saw a video of Todd of Slingin baits putting one on as shown in my pic. Thats when I started to question whether the package has the correct method. That red hit it hard and it was because it was moving in the mullet school and not because of it's shape. I asked him and thats what he said so I rel...

Ya know now with the pinched tail rule it's going to be more difficult to measure fish while taking pictures in tourneys. Nice red! Your so right, Better equiptment would help me. My camera is as big as a Cuban Sandwich and takes two hands to make ready. A camera man would also help :D Aside from t...

The pocket is there so that the shank of the hook will go inside and more of the hook will protrude when a fish hits. Therefore, the hook point should always be on the non-pocket side. If you're having trouble with the hook catching things, try embedding the tip of the hook back into the plastic. N...

DOA Jerk bait Rigging 4" version

I now must have every color DOA 4' jerk bait they make. My rigging question for the experts is does it matter which way the hook point exits the body. 1 side has a deep pocket and one side has a shallow indent. I have up till now been having the hook point exit on the shallow side but the deep side ...

I'm not concerned about body contact but rather how having my rod hand in front of the reel or on the reel seat as is my current practice. Ohhh, "you'll shoot your eye out kid!" Not to worry, the shell is spent! No bullet, no powder. Just the part that hits the ground when the gun goes po...

Mirror lure hooks stink :( I lost a Big Red on one once and been changing the hooks ever since. I may even start going to single or just stop useing them all together because the trbles are more trouble then they are worth. I've been liking the new MR19 but it already has been damaged by constant la...
