Super Secret Spot: The kidnapping

My buddy, Joel, ambushed me after I left work today and made me do something I haven't done in a while... seawall fishing. He blindfolded me and stuffed me in the truck. Judging by the length of ride and the view of the surroundings once the blindfold was removed, I could tell that we were somewhere...

I like going out to the shelf cause I always see something interesting while out there floating around. yesterday i saw a crab swimming along. after i passed him i heard a slurp and never saw the crab again. I also saw a couple of sharks and a school of huge jacks in the 20 lb clas...

Livewell in a kayak?

On my way to fish a local bridge I was jigging the flats with a CAL shadtail. On 6 casts (back to back) I snagged 6 pinfish... so I kept them just to see what using live bait was like. I used 2 and ended letting the rest go free.

I bought and have tried these. Here's my Q.... I can't figure out how to put on a lure with my hook already attached to my leader??? I just "pre rig" and put them back in the bag until I need them. Momo use a hitch hiker in the "z" bend and you can change bodies with ease. i use...

FOWL!
The rules say you have to catch fish using conventional fishing rod/reel. Vercetti is jumping in and catching 'em with his bare hands! fowl!

good job guys. i might be able to make the next one. i've been out of the loop a lil lately.

i only had problems with PVC flexing in deeper water and rough conditions. both of which are better suited for anchor use.

and if you have front scuppers, why would ya need to trolley a stakeout pole?

I really like G*Loomis and St. Croix rods.

Reels, I too still like my Capricorns. I am still liking my Okumas too. The new Alumina is new on the list along with the VS.

dave, I don't blame ya. I destroyed Sharon's Stratic months ago. Although it was on accident, she didn't mind at all.

nothing bigger than 3000 series here. as long as it'll hold a lil more than 100 yds powerpro, that's all ya need on the flats. if you're targeting bigger fish (tarpon, cobia, ect) then ya would want something bigger. but for the big 3, ya don't need anything bigger. and the only reason i would use a...

3 for me. I would have more rods if "life" would stand still for a bit. I was just about to place a big order with G*Loomis when the truck blew up and the land lord announced she was selling the house out from under us. did i mention i can't see past the bow of my kayak? another trip to th...

10lb here. It has a breaking strength of a lil more than 10 lbs. If you need to put that kinda pressure on a fish, chances are that you're not using the right rod to begin with. I rarely have problems or situations that cause the line to break. Leaders are a different story. If I break a fish off, i...
