Palomar knot almost exclusively. I never use a loop knot, I dont like the action it gives lures. I avoid leaders at nearly all costs but when I have to I use a uni to uni.

There are many benefits to using baitcasting gear. Usually they're lighter than a similat capacity and rated spinner by several ounces. Its much easier to walk the dog and other topwater methods too. Until I discovered I loved fishing soft plastic jerkbaits I never used spinning. The ABu's are great...

I installed an 8" hatch in front of the seat of my Drifter. I opted for no cat bag because I use the access from the from hatch to store my rods in the hull during transport. I didnt want to deal with guides or hooks catching the bag. I was thinking of putting a plastic tray like a small wash t...

Hey prowler13angler, check out Wal-Mart or Bass Pro. They have a rod holder that attaches to your bikes rear hub axle. Costs $11 I think. Made of coated metal rod bent into a spiral to hold your rod upright.
