I've been using a Gator gold spoon with a gulp jerk shad hooked thru the lip and slid all the way up the slot in the middle of the spoon. It's weedless also. Unbelievable results. I've used the grips Chewbaka is talking about and they are great. Put em on a couple months ago and wouldn't be without em. Not only a better grip on the paddle but easier on the finger joints. I started to have nerve problems with the middle joint of my thumb, as I was paddling so much...these grip...

I attached a set of the blinking lights that "real" bike stores carry. I used to ride in 100 mile races and these lights were always dependable, almost waterproof and only cost about $6.

I screwed them onto the rudder and they work great!
