Re: The hex

Congrats! I took my Fly Rods to Flamingo over the weekend and was greeted with 20 - 30 mph Winds. Got one small Jack, and I think he felt sorry for the ole man!

Nice Reds on a 5wt! Bet it was great fun!

Re: My PFCS Pic-N-Sip soapbox.

Had 3 Long Rods in the truck, no "Spinners" so yes I threw the flies all day, wind assisted casting! Just saw that I had a chance of placing for a Prize, guess it hurts to be Stupid!
No Worries! I'm signing up for the next one, with a bit more practice I might add!

Re: My PFCS Pic-N-Sip soapbox.

I had to take "She who must be Obeyed" out to eat almost as soon as I got home, but I did make an appearance, just cause!

Only caught two "scoring" fish but I'll do it again, Thanks!

Re: PFCS #4 - The Mystery Lure Challenge - UPDATED INFO

I would like to get in, but might not fish. Changed over to the Long Rod a year ago, and can't seem to put it down. Bound to be a character flaw of some sort, anyway see ya there!

Sunday Morning Sunrise

It was a good time to be on the backwater. First strike that morning turned into a long drawn out affair with all that my 8 lb mono could do. Everything held together even though she was in the mangrove once, then into my anchor and had the rod bent under the yak. Somedays it just works! 38" ma...

Take a "inexpensive" tripod mount apart to get the mounting head. It is easy to attach the mounting head to the bottom half of a "Scotty" rod mount. On my yak the receiver of the "Scotty" is centered in front of the seat. All this gives you a short mount for you camera,...

My fishing partner grew like yours but I didn't meet her until 7-8 years ago. Thank goodness I met her before someone else!

Just joined the fun and posted this late from the others. Being a "Hillbilly" from North West Arkansas kayaks are for white water, small canoes are for fishing.........before I got some education. Bought 9'8" one person canoes with yak paddles and started fishing the "Worlds Best...
