Re: Fishing DAys Suspended, Health
Sorry to hear you have been visited by the Crap Fairy. I hope you have the best recovery possible. I always tell people on their birth day "Congrats on another successful trip around the sun" It seems the older we get the harder it is. I myself am just now getting ready to return to the wa...

Re: A Question for You Experts.
OK, so after Saturday mornings top water orgy, we got to thinking about what actually happens when a snook hits a topwater lure. Whats the actually process that causes so many misses and the lure to go flying through the air. What say you? Lets here your explanation. For me it's always been prematu...

Tight Lines Cook! Thanks for the hot tips and laughs. I'll be expecting some help from you next time I get a lure stuck in the mangroves.

If your Interested in Bald Eagles
There has been a pair over Sawgrass Lake for a couple of weeks now. I live near by and they are Big mature baldies and are beautiful.

Re: Good News....
Thanks for the well wishes. After 2 years and 3 months of being on the donor list I finally got the call at 10:30am Thursday. I was supposed to be the backup and two people were in front of me. A kidney and a kidney pancreas combo. After a few hours the surgeon came in and had me admitted for surger...

Re: THE ELECTRIC FISHERMAN
I doubt this guy died from his fishing line contacting the power lines. 1st he was only 32 and 7200 volts is very survivable unless your absolutely determined to hang on. 2nd Think of a fuse. He might have felt a little tingle but in a high voltage to ground situation that line would have gone up in...

Quantum catalyst in the 2k series. What ever you do don't get the shimano ci4. It will ruin you for everything else. It is super light.

Re: Kayak Registration - Charlotte County
The gun lobby just won big with a preemption law. Maybe it's time to do the same with kayaking. One of us could get our kayyak registered and share the number with the group. If my kayak is found with out me in it there aint a damn thing gonna be better by knowing who it belongs too. Money for the r...

Re: Reel Maintenance
I take mine to Gandy Bait and Tackle. They do a good job with a quick turnaround. I think it's $14 per reel plus cost of parts if needed. +1 Phil used to pick up reels at Bill Jacksons don't know if he still does. Worth a note is that most shops farm out the work. Phil may work on your reel and you...

Re: Stability v. Utility
I have the native 14 and I don't worry about the chop and slop sinking the boat. I don't go out in those conditions regardless of the kayak i'm in. It's just to unpleasent. The thing you really need to worry about is other power boats swamping you. I've had it happen at shell key. It was not enough ...
