Re: For those of you that use baitcasters.
I like my Diawa Coastal. 20lb braid because its easier to tie and really has no effect on casting distance. I know guys that run 50lb braid with out issues. The only reason I can think of to run mono is for soft mouth targets like gator trout. This is the majority of what people run in Texas. One th...

Re: Homemade Native seat riser
I've tried the styro foam that was super heavy duty from a medical supply company. It did not compress but it did make a lot of noise when I moved around. I can't say for sure because I did not get hits from some near by reds in our out of the boat. It did squeak like hell when getting in and out.

Re: June online tournament
I suck at this. I caught a trout the 1st day that was close to being the length to my 2nd guide (26") and did not have the stomach to put him on a measuring board. I hooked him deep on a plug and it took for ever to get the damn thing out.

House on the water info.
Does anyone know anything about the house west of Gods Key and south of Shell Key. I was in that area for the first time yesterday and was wondering who lived there. What a dream that would be.

Walgreens Pliers
I was in the Walgreens on 54th and 9th and low and behold they had a spinning rack with fishing tackle. It actually had some pretty good stuff. DOA,Rapala, and others. I spied these pliers and always wanting a pair with a lanyard and holster but not wanting to spend a fortune. Fifteen bucks and they...
