Been using the timber brown since it came out awhile ago. When it was slick, knots were an issue, it had to be doubled. It didnt hold its color any better than any other superline, it wore off quickly as did the waxy slickness. I think its just like all the superlines, nothing better except at least...

First choice would be with a bow! The blue tilapia dont readily hit a lure or fly like the spotted do. Maybe dough balls like european carpers do. Ive seen them early as the sun rises, slurp unseen food from the top water film but never could get them to take a dry fly or nymph. So say they can but ...

Many big freshwater snook I caught while bass fishing the canals off Burnt Store. The news said residents are upset with the bucket sitting brigade invading vacant lots and leaving there garbage. Much like they do in Englewood!

Better do it soon Bluebill, news stations are reporting that the city council is going to act soon on homeowners demands to deny public access to the Capes canal systems. Sad, I spent many a teen age day on those canals.

The old camphered bushings that they used can still be had. Polish the inside with a dremel/q tip bit and your free spool will run longer than the best latest bearings. Best thing is they are self centering.

I use baitcasters almost exclusively. I've done the expensive route with Shimano Calais' Daiwa Zillions and the mid priced reels like the Revo's. Contrary to what internet experts and manufacturers say, they are truly bass reels. I'd stick with the Abu Swedish made Ambassadeurs like the C3. I get mi...

Not that I ever thought I'd recommend them for anything but....Economy Tackle has often had the Hobie on display in the parking lot. sail extended, pontoons attached etc....
