Back when I did a lot of Bass fishing Mudfish were always part of the game.
Although they'll hit anything a Bass will, I've probably caught more on spinnerbaits than everything else combined.

Headed out into a brisk north wind this morning with a couple packs of Space Guppies and a thermos of coffee. When I arrived at my first spot, the unobstructed wind made fishing difficult to say the least. The jumbo reds I hoped to find were either not there, or my warp speed drift made my retrieves...

Keys Fisheries is a great place to eat. The lobster rueben is almost worth the trip in itself

Your unfortunate stringer incident, coupled with the fish that were not released makes a case for photo/release tournaments.

How big and what did you catch her on?? I didn't get a measurement. It took long enough to get out of the yak & get a picture. The first (& biggest) redfish came on a baby bass exude. After that one was released, I continued to throw the exude as well as a spook jr. with no takers. Eventual...
