Need a idea for rigging a gps fishfinder on my Pro Angler.

Post by size matters »

I am going to mount my 540S garmin color gps on my Pro Angler. I want the wires to go into the hull clean and hidden. Here is my thought. I will be putting the GPS on the Black molded piece on the right side of the hull. I want to run the wiring under it and into the side of the hull. I will then take the wiring all the way to the back hatch where a battery will be custom cut installed into the tackle box they give with the kayak in the very back hatch.

My question is I need a little larger holes to fit the plugs through the hull. My problem is the plugs are bigger than the wiring of course. I will have two of them to fit through. I want the hole then sealed and look professional after it is all wired in.

what can I do after I drill these holes and run the wires so it does not look backyard.

Google up rubber grommet

Those big damn plugs have been a problem for boat riggers for years
