Freshwater report

Post by finatic »

I was at one of our programs for training and fished the lake on the property. The fishing was slow during the times I had available which was morning and evening. :? here's one of the fat boys i caught.

Those bowfins are strange looking to me....not sure I really want to catch one of those, but I would take that bass.

I lovvvvveee catching mudfish.

We have been trying to target them lately but its gotten tough, when were looking for fish, we use eaither hotdogs a little off the bottom, or dog food (The kind with the chunks). When we have seen them and know they have been in a spot, we use YUM dingers

Nice pics. Not bad for the slow time huh?

if you want bowfins, go to Sergeant Park on US301 and Stacey Road in Thonotosassa!

Back when I did a lot of Bass fishing Mudfish were always part of the game.
Although they'll hit anything a Bass will, I've probably caught more on spinnerbaits than everything else combined.
