Lake Manatee 2-5 (with pics)

Post by Broken12 »

Headed out to Lake Manatee. Didn't know what to expect since I hadn't been out there since October. First fish of the day was one of the biggest bluegills I've ever caught out there. Caught in on a No. 10 popper.

Caught a few more on poppers, then switched to a No. 12 nymph that works real well when the topwater bite slows. Got plenty of more bluegill, six golden shiners and a really nice speckled perch on it.

Fishing out there will continue to improve as the weather warms.
