Excellent catch. Specks are fun on the old fly rod.

What lake did you fish? What flies? How did you find the fish?

Fixed. Thanks, I am still learning the ways of these internets.

I try to fish between my other activities.

I was using a marabou version of the whistler, but but to be honest, they wanted small flies. The big lady was caught on a size 10 crappie candy on my 4wt.

I was fishing the lake in my subdivision here in Orlando (You can see the SeaWorld tower from the boatramp.) Since it's my home lake, I have my spec holes located. But you are right, they weren't where they were supposed to be and in those cases (like today), I'll drift fish the drop offs until I find them. You know you have them dialed in when you are catching fish on damn near every cast. I don't mean that as hyperbole. With the flyrod this time of year, I have found that if your fly and leader are OK and you have only caught a couple, you haven't dialed them in yet.

"The" beer is in the upper lefthand corner (you can see the reflection), it would be "TEH" if it was Killians instead of MGD.
