Channel Catfish on Fly Rod

Post by Gibby3474 »

I don't target them, but I hook them pretty often. They're a lot of fun and fight better than most anything you'll hook in fresh water. Really neat fish. I usually get them on subsurface flies I'm casting for bluegill.

Here's a blog piece I wrote on fly fishing for catfish: http://gibbysfishingblog.blogspot.com/2 ... nfish.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm surprised you don't hook any when you are on the Myakka north of Border Rd. Must be a blast of a fight on those light rods. Great pics as always, I miss your old freshwater fly forum!
