If you are lucky enough to know a NASA employee, they can bring in two guess and fish on the east side of the zone or launch at KARs Park. If not, the closest launch site is an unimproved site at the north end of Banana River Drive at the Barge Canal on the west side. I have been seeing black drum in the area of the power lines before you get to KARS. When I have charters in there, I sometimes load my Old Town onto my skiff, launch at Kelly Park, and motor to the south edge of the zone. Than I anchor the skiff and paddle in. To get to Banana River Drive, take the Beach Line east, and exit just before you cross the Banana River Bridge.
