Ok, so I meet up with a couple of my mates around dinner time, as per normal the first few hours were spent just chatting about this, that and the other, another mate arrived which meant we had to gab some more but eventually we decided to have a go at some fishing.
Tackle for today was a barbel rod and a lure rod.
My barbel set up was a 12ft, heavy action rod, baitrunner reel loaded with 12lb mono, an inline, 2oz lead was free running on the line, a shock bead was added, then a swivel, 10lb fluro leader to a size 8 extra strong hook.

Superb Ray, almost had me feeling home sick, but I jumped the first Tarpon from my boat today.
Hopefully they'll still be around when you're over visiting Ray

No we have wells catfish in the UK, although they are not a mainstream species yet, but are growing in popularity all the time.
I fished for them in France before moving here, managed a nice 28lber hell of a fight and a very ugly beauty to it.
I'll try and drag out a pic of it.
