High Wind Carnage??

Post by Heywood »

OK, so I can't come with a $5 dollar word to describe today. All I can say was it was pretty darn windy.

I had Vlap and Capt Wave Spin come up and join me for a morning in the mild November breeze.

Pat was first on the board with this massive trout. It took him into the backing twice.

Later on he hooked up with a frisky redfish.

Have any of you fished with Jeff? He can snag mullet like no ones buisness.

Later on he hooked into what we both thought was a redfish, turned out to be a nice 23" trout.

Oh yeah, I had a measily 73" slam today. (Hey Dan, I can catch trout, albiet small ones)

Guys, it was great getting out with you both. Maybe next time we will have a better game plan

Great report Bill. Is that an Exude Gold Dart in that reds mouth?
Did Vlap keep the mullet and cook it?

Wow boys, looks like fun. Same place I slammed earlier this week, though I have to admit, Bill, I think mine was more like 68 inches. And I've never seen someone slay the mullet like VLap. That joker gets at least one mullet every time I'm with him. Glad to see he still has the hot hand! :D

A great day indeed! I was happy to see you slam (almost twice) but next time leave a fish or 2 for us little people. Whats up with your inability to find trout?
The plan definitely worked but I hope there is a slam in it for me.

That wind was tough. Much worse then I thought it would be. I can feel it in my shoulders today!

Nice job there guys!

With the wind Bill I would have expect you to be fishing down here.

I snagged this one but last time I caught 2 mullet. one on a jig and the other on a mirrodine. Both had the hook in their mouth.
