Well, darn it. I wish I had seen this earlier this week before I caught a bloody huge Ladyfish.

I suck at this. I caught a trout the 1st day that was close to being the length to my 2nd guide (26") and did not have the stomach to put him on a measuring board. I hooked him deep on a plug and it took for ever to get the damn thing out.

You should have seen the trout I lost yesterday - It was an absolute monster.
Today, I could not get any ladies to the boat and I found some big ones. I did manage to upgrade on trout. All while tarpon fishing, go figure.

I went fishing yesterday and hooked up 2 reds. The first one was pulling drag and got away right next to my yak. Second one was a baby red... it wasn't worth taking pic for this tourney. some snooks under the mangroves and trouts on the flats. the most interesting was after all cussing and swearing a huge freaking tarpon went up for air about 10-15 yards from my yak. that was the first time in real life besides watching PTTS i see a tarpon. it freak me out LOL... hey i only been kayak fishing for less than a year. i was thinking if i cast my lure... what if it hit it... this monster is gonna drag my butt on my MINIX to God knows where... i cast my plug anyway... didn't hit

Got home and then i realized........for the first time in 5 years fishing (4+yrs fishing under bridges and less than a year kayak) i actually did a SLAM <------ right? snook red and trout

You always take a pic if you are in a tournament.

Just ask Norm.

I have seen anglers lose out on money by not taking a pic of an 8" trout, always take a picture no matter the size.

I always thought the fish had to be at least bottom of the slot.

No, Bill, slot has nothing to do with it in a Catch, Photo, Release tournament.
