I just wanted to say that even though the fishing wasn't great, it was nice to get out and meet everyone again and share a few laughs and some awesome food cooked up by Mark R

Summer Swelter Paddle In - June 18 - UPDATE

Post by Capt. Jack »

Nice to meet you guys yesterday. Apparently the window for reds closed by about 7:30am. Other than that, I enjoyed the burgers, sausage, beer and good conversation. I cant wait for the next outing.
Our tradition is that of the first man who snuck away to the creek when the tribe did not really need fish.

Gents - I am in the middle of the Qatari desert and I promise that no matter how bad the fishing was, it beats the heck out of 125 degrees with a 25 knot wind sandblasting everything exposed.. But, we all make personal choices in life :salute:

I trust that everyone had a great time. I will look forward to the next one.

Was a shame so many couldn't make it but I understand Father's Day weekend schedules and a few illnesses caused many to not make it...those that did got a chance to enjoy Marks excellent cooking skills and a beautiful day on the water. Granted it was very warm to say the least....but still a beautiful day all in all. Nice to see some old faces and meet some of the newcomers and put faces to screen names

This is looking back at the cookin area.

Annnndddd here we got some folks with food! L to R, Rob on the left, Cook sittin stuffin face, Norms "good" side, Capt. Jack snitchin cheese,Todd sitting...I think, CB's good side, I think that's Fishhead behind CB, and Rik's hat stickin out from behind the tip jar. Maybe he's there - maybe not???
Image

I hear there were some reds caught, at least one made it to a cooking surface. And Cook caught a lady finally, I hear..NPDH!

It was a lot of fun, if you missed it...well you missed it - a good outing!

On edit, I will be posting the prep of the burger and sausage in food...soon.

For a place called "Todd's Hole", I thought it was funny that Todd couldn't do anything but watch as I caught several fish right in front of him.
