Eleven-11-Two 1's next to each other

11 is the number of kayakers that have signed up from Paddle-Fishing.com for the Tampa Bay Frogman Swim. To be brutally honest that number is damn embarrassing to the whole lot of us. With the amount of people we have that live, fish, paddle in the Tampa Bay area to only have 11 signed up is a disgrace. It is for a tremendous cause and it is only a half day of your time. Come on guys/gals we can do better, I know we can.

Question about Frogman Swim. I am signed up and the site shows that I am registered to be there but I have not received any information on what I am supposed to do. Has anyone else received anything or are we just supposed to show up.

I asked Kurt about that as I was wondering the smae thing. He said that if you show as signed up, he's counting on you. He'll be getting something out to all kayakers in a week or so.

One other question. Are there plans on how we are to get ourselves and kayaks back to the launch site after the event is over? Don't think I will feel like paddling back.

We have had this discussion several times. It would seem to me that the easiest way is to leave a couple trucks at Picnic Island and haul people - instead of kayaks - back to their vehicles on the Gandy. One truck could take half a dozen or more people back to Gandy.

Must have missed this. I drive an SUV with 3rd row seating so I can move 7 people including me. I would be glad to use my truck as one of the return vehicle if someone wants to follow me over to Picnic before the launch in the morning.

If someone would like to meet up early I would be glad to help move vehicles to the other side
