Format/Scoring for Mystery Lure - ask questions here.

Post by Rik »

The format (scoring) has been posted in the sign in thread. Read it and, if you have questions, ask them here.

Read it once, two times, three times. It is not complicated but a few PFCS entrants in the past have lose out on money or prizes due to not reading the rules and knowing how they work. Worst thing to happen is to get back and realize "Damnit Man, if only I had read the rules".

And, yes, ladyfish do count again. I know that many of you will groan that you just can't beat ChrisR when it comes to ladyfish but please get out there and give it a shot. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing him brag about his winning ladyfish.

As do pinfish, grunts, snapper, lizardfish, pilchards, blowfish, grouper, mackerel, seabass, sheephead, mullet. What others am I missing?

So, If I caught a 100 trout, I would get 150 pts.

I see where you are going but, even there, your math is incorrect.

One trout. 15 points. On to the next species.

Only ONE fish of each species.

Then the rules should say that, no? Doesn't read that way to me the way they stand now.

"Scoring Points slam with a species kicker. You will receive 15 points for each snook, red, trout that you catch."

So am I only allowed one of each species, or as many of each that I can catch? It sounds like you can catch as many as you can from what I'm reading above, with each one being worth 15 points.

What he said

Pictures - you do not have to "land" the fish - say a catfish. You can take a picture in the water of the fish as long as it shows the lure. you would not have to put the fish in the kayak correct

It is ONE fish if each species. ONE fish.

And Paul, you forgot the token that must be in the pic.

You are allowed to bring no lures or hooks, jigheads, popping corks, spllit shots, etc. with you.
Should this be read as "You are not allowed to bring lures or hooks, jigheads, popping corks, spllit shots, etc. with you"?
So all I need is up to 3 rod & reels with line only?
