Well it took damned near 5 months and literally hundreds of hours, but I finally caught my first (decent) Tarpon on a fly. While I had jumped two this Season that were ten times her size, this little beauty graced my presence on what would have been my dearly departed mother's 76th birthday. I am down in Naples visiting my father and made an early run this morning to look for Silver in the Everglades when I finally got a backcountry Poon to chew. She hit a Green & White Clouser Minnow while a curious gator served as a witness. It will be a special memory.
