The Little Things

Post by Pirogue »

It is the time of year I hardly get out to fish. So I watch the water with envy every chance I get seeing people out on the water.

Today I had to run from Bradenton to Bay Pines. On the trip north, there were quite a few sailboats out off the Skyway- nice. On the return trip south across, heading home to Riverview, I was treated to some skying kingfish just west of the bridge.

Love it.

It's the little things.

Along those lines...from last Sunday

Used kayak with paddle - $200, Wright McGill/Sabalo combo $160, Zmann Paddletail $4...watching my college son put on a clinic with 7 snook, 2 reds, and one trout - priceless.

Gonna have to find a new nickname for Wonderboy...he's a young man now.

Nice...he did get on one poon in one cast before. That was a wonder. Especially as the bait hit the brim of my hat on the way up, landed 10' from the boat, and BAM...

Perhaps "Hidden Horseshoe" is better.
