I have both a Revo and a OB. Both are the newer hulls and I love them both for their own reasons. The OB is my sponsor boat for tourneys and such and is much more suitable for sight fishing. I can stand easily in it while I cannot stand in the revo. The OB is slower then the revo but with everything, compomises must be made. It really just depends what you are looking to do. If skinny water sight fishing reds is our thing go with the OB, if your making longer runs (ie tarpon fishing off beach or makeral fishing couple miles of shore) go with the Revo. Consider this, if you get the OB you wont realize the differeance in speed considering you dont paddle both often enough. I am on Hobie fishing team so if theres ANYTHING you want or need to know please do not hesitate to ask. Kyle

I am ready to buy a Hobie Revolution. Any good deals out there? Cash talks!

This is a timely thread. I'm picking up an OB and a Revo at Tackle Shack tomorrow and my wife and I will give them a good peddling on Saturday. The OB seems like a better fishing craft but the Revo will probably get the nod. If I can mount a rod holder up front somewhere that will seal the deal.

But, Saturday will be the test ...

The OB and the Revo are in the back of the truck (thanks to Tackle Shack) ... counting the minutes until Saturday morning ...

So, Jerry, should we stop calling you "Emotion Jerry"?

I have a doctor's note .... :)

We'll see how the demo goes tomorrow, but unless one of 'em sinks, I think it'll be tough not to get a pair.

... does have a nice ring to it, doesn't it? :)

Pick 'em up tomorrow, sunset peddle Thursday, Fort D on Saturday.

I do have a question for the Hobie owners out there? Turbo fins or stock fins? I love the Turbo, but wonder if there is a downside to them ....

So Jerry, what were the reasons that you decided on the revo and not the outback? Which would you pick for lake and river fishing?
