I'll be under going a heart cath this coming Monday. Best case, it will show a minor blockage that can be treated with medicine, OR I'll get a stint and be kept over night. 7-10 days to recoup. No strenuous activities.
Worst case is bypass surgery. That will keep me out much longer.
There is great power in positive thinking. Let's do our best to channel some Heywood's way!
Hang tough, Bill. Get through this and we'll see you out on the flats soon.

Over every mountain there is a path, although it may not be seen from the valley
Positive thoughts and prayers, when you can get back out on the water that will speed the recovery.

Bill our prayers are with you brother. Positive thoughts will help and be assured that the procedure has a very high success rate. My neighbor just had it done and is up and running as good as before.
I have known several people that undewent what you are going through. Everyone of them came out the better for having it done. It is very common place now. Amazing what they can do. I will put you in our prayers for a speedy recovery.

Is your fish dripping?
My wife has undergone heart catherization twice (2005 and 2006) and is sporting a very expensive set of stents. She is pissing and moaning better than ever and said the procedure didn't even bother her.
For many folks it is a "same day surgery", you don't stay the night.
One thing for sure, you will feel MUCH better afterwards. I don't know of anyone that has said otherwise.
