One of the hazards of Peacock fishing. Always watch where you plant your feet!

very true...I got only 1 fire ant bite the entire day...still I have scars from the last couple weeks...fire ants determine if I will even bother to fish for peacocks most times....my favorite lake is so bad I quit fishing it 2 yrs ago...I tried 3 weeeks ago to see if it was better...it was even worse and I literally ran all the way back to my truck but still got bit several times

Its kind of fun to watch first time bank walkers looking for Peacock bass..., unsuspectingly stepping on a pie of them ants. By the time you realize and feel the first bite its all over but the crying.

Don't forget iguana holes and other traps covered by overgrown weeds!

Heading home for the weekend from Tampa, looks like a blow out in the bay.. .I'm thinking a Peacock bank attack is in order.
