Need some help planning our next shoot

Post by Jim Sammons LJKF »

Hey Guys, been a while since I popped in over here. Been super busy.
Any way I am in the process of planning our shooting schedule for 2010 for Game On 3 and my new TV show and could use some help planning the proposed Florida segment. Now nothing is written in stone but at this point we are planning a Southeast Tour shooting in several locations. We plan to be in South Carolina around the first week in May and would like to shoot in Northern Florida right after that, two locations a couple days of shooting at each location, east or west coast which ever seems more intriguing. So looking for some ideas for that time of year.
Please the more specific the information the better.
Location
Species
local personality to fish with
Adventure Quotient.
etc...
Thanks in advance for the help.

E mails would be great and would make it much easier to keep track of and forward to my producer.

I look forward to your ideas.

If you want an anventure, give yourself some more time and travel south. Contact Captain Charles Wright, and explore the Glades.

Jim, I dont live in FL any more...if you decide to shoot in NC...I would recommend Historic Bath and of course Fort Fisher in Wilmington.

But if in Florida. And I cant remember what you have done before...then I would certainly fish either Titusville or the NMZ on the east coast. Pineland on the west coast (reds, trout and snook) and maybe even one of the Big Bend locations for reds in the northern part of the west coast. I fished up there with Roger and Jeff before...and it is a nice location with good fishing. But cant remember the actual area. If I remember I will shoot you an email...or if they see this they can let you know the area.

There are a few that post from the "North Country" ie, Big Bend area and Jax but for the most part, I'd venture to say that 90%+ of the people that post and/or lurk here are from Central and West Central Florida. Say from Crystal River down to Ft. Myers/Naples area. Rik can clarify that a little more but that'd be my guess as to why so few responses.

I would say the everglades is a great idea. Back country snook, tarpon, grouper, and reds.

I'm thinking Tarpon! Boca Grande Pass. It would be an interesting video of you fighting a 200 lb Tarpon for 20 minutes. You could capture some serious drama footage when a 16' Hammerhead shark tries to steal your catch. This would definatly be classified as extreme kayak fishing.

That is what I was thinking, May ..... Boca Grande, Tarpon

Adventure Quotient - HIGH

But I think they did that for the first film.
