If that is a "bull" redfish then why is it sitting in your foot well on a dock on a stringer? Every "bull" redfish I have ever seen is too big to keep. Which is it, a "bull" or a keeper? Looks like a "bull" to me. This whole thing definitely smells like bull.

not a bull red.. it looks to be like 18 inches.. look at it near the holes on the yak. Alot of people call all reds bull reds for some reason.. still dont know why.

18 inch redfish don't pull anything around for 20 minutes. The tale remains fishy.

Hey guys, he caught a redfish. He actually took pics which is quite different from some of the "big catches" some of you report.

Yeah, there's some discussion about what a bull redfish is which is quite similar to the discussion of what a gator trout is.

Frankly, I thought he'd get blasted for his spelling, punctuation and lack of capital letters long before the "bull" issue came up.

I just see a big redfish on a stringer, in a footwell, on a dock. If that kayak has anything close to the same dimensions as my kayak the fish would be over slot. That is what I was getting at. I don't care what you call it, that fish looks too big to keep to me.

seriously i have seen reds as big as that footwell. i have caught them. That thing is small and legal.. he just called it a "Bull Red" cause of lack of knowledge IMO.

If those deck boards are 3" then the redfish is at 21 inches.

Well for what its worth I was bored so I did some goggling..
Looks like the pass he referenced is in AL,
are you familiar with their regulations?
Looks like their redfish rule is similar to our sea trout rule.. 1 overslot allowed.

Alabama, that explains the spelling, punctuation and lack of capital letters.

Took the words right out of my mouth Rik. There is a lot of story telling around this forum which makes it good. To knock on someone's report that actually has a photo posted just shows your own fishing insecurities.

Log off and go fish. Maybe that will make you feel better about yourself!
